My bodies of work are representative of the visions that float around in my mind. I pride myself on my cohesive collection of tropical landscapes featuring luscious shades of blue and green.
When I paint, I strive to create a perfect paradise. To do so, I reference images from my personal collection or some of my favorite photographers like Amber Mozo. I enjoy when my landscapes have nothing amiss. To me, the clouds must be the right amount of soft and the horizon lines equally crisp.
The following paintings exemplify the best part of my process and they are all very close to my soul. I hope you can reflect on your own tropical temperament while browsing my gallery!
Isolation can be a beautiful thing. I learned to enjoy my own company, something I was already skilled at but had never experienced in such a large dose at the time. It began to feel like something was missing. I manifested a lot of my sadness into these paintings, showing that the beauty and peace I sought was always within me.
Hawaiian Summertime is incomparable. The water is at its warmest and the sunshine is plentiful. When I want to think of a time where I truly feel happy, I go back to my summer trips to Hawaii. Year after year, this is the highlight. The islands have a magic I can’t put into words. Instead, I try through paintings.
The Caribbean is a beautiful gift. I especially enjoy the water there, which is forever warm. The islands are a constant reminder that perfection can be found only in nature. The following eight pieces are an attempt at capturing that beauty. This Caribbean Collection is inspired by the lush green mountains of St. Thomas & the sunlight dancing at the water's surface.
Older work that will eventually be archived, but I still feel a connection to these pieces and wanted to share them.
